cross country

This morning at school, the whole Kauri team had  cross country. We came down to the hall steps and  Miss Green gave instructions for the race on what to do and where to go. But it started to rain and when it stopped raining  the  year 6 boys were first to run, Then it was the year 6 girl's turn to run.When it was year 5 girls turn I ran and it was hard because  my knees were hurting.  Just when we were running, it  started to rain again, then we all went into the hall for shelter. The rain stopped and we all came out and went to class. I felt very happy for finishing the cross country.

 I like cross country because it makes us fit and it's not about winning it's about having fun.
